New and unexpected things

I bought a pomelo online, and it’s as big as my head! 🍊

I’m trying out a new online fruit and veg delivery service (Just Fruit and Veg) to try and minimize our plastic waste… Threw in a pomelo because I have such fond South East Asian memories of eating them. And it arrived ever so slightly bigger than it looked online 😆

But it made me think of the delight of new and unexpected things. Now we get to have a pomelo party! 🎉 The kids will taste it for the first time, we’ll heap up the peel, maybe I’ll even throw it in a salad…

I think one route to slices of joy is throwing in a dash of the unexpected, just to shake things up a bit.

Pomelo pie, anyone? 😉 🥧
