Writing a book seems so romantic, doesn’t it?
The stillness, the gazing into thin air to pluck just the right word from the ether, the endless cups of tea…
And while some parts of writing a book *are* romantic, and I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything, it is also really, really hard work.
I’m having a book published next year (more on that soon! 🥂) and have spent the last week doing major edits.
As in, checked myself into a guesthouse for a night so I could work uninterrupted for hours on end, and then spent the entire weekend save for brief perspective breaks (food, nature walks) working.
Writing a book is work! So much hard work. No matter how romantic it looks on social media 😉
