A labour of love

a labour of love

Each year I put together a photo book for each of my kids.

It is a labour of love – with the emphasis on ‘labour’. It takes hours to sift through a year’s worth of photos and lay them out chronologically in a photo book, and then it’s expensive to print and then I have to write annotations and decorate it. The word ‘ball ache’ comes to mind…

And yet, they love them. They look through them all the time, dogear the pages, relive memories through them. I’m only doing 10 for each child, so this is my son’s last year and I’ve put it off as long as I can…

My reward? This ridiculous picture of me on a wooden pig at Spier in the summertime. #glimmers 😉
