One of the greatest gifts of my older years (I’m nearly 40, so I’m allowed saying that!) has been the gift of female friendships. Women who are strong and funny and talented and vulnerable, quick to love and slow to demand because we’re all so busy and we get it.
Yesterday I spent the most delightful day hiking Crystal Pools with these fabulous women, laughing almost as much as we complained about our sore legs and lack of bubbly and a cheese board for a picnic by the pools…
It took me a really long time to find women I truly connected with – it was only at the end of high school and in college that I started finding my people. So it is such a joy to be in this ripening stage of my life with such powerful and delightful women.
A whole day of slices of joy! And the sore thighs to remind me of it today 😉
