The sweetness of this age and stage

It’s me!
Is there anything sweeter than a 6-year-old drawing your portrait? Look at my rainbow necklace 🥰

I am able, most days, to really soak up the sweetness of this age and stage… it’s 3 and a half years since my mom died, and I no longer feel a twinge of wanting to share every moment with her. I’ve made peace with her being gone, as much as it is possible to do that…

This would have seemed impossible, at any time before this.

Time eventually does heal… who knew?!
