I have had an awful day.
It started with anxiety over a difficult conversation I had to have which I hoped I was worrying unnecessarily about (I was not). It included a detailed attack of some really positive and helpful work I’m co-creating. It had a pap smear thrown in for good measure, an emotional and heartbreaking confrontation and a seemingly endless To Do List that didn’t get done.
It also included reaching out to friends and family for advice, with the not often verbalized (by me) words: “I don’t know what to do.” And some weeding (always a good idea). And a red food colouring volcano with the kids.
And now? I’ve just changed into comfy pyjamas and am about to pour myself a gin and soda, and sink my toes into the earth. Let’s hope that helps.
