Desiderata – my favourite poem

May I introduce my precious? 💫

Just picked this beauty up from the framers and I am totally in love… I asked the lovely @bylaurenfowler to ink this for me and it will soon be hanging on my office wall as a daily reminder.

When my husband and I walked (500km of) the Camino in 2013, this was one of the poems I learnt off by heart. I find it so soothing and wise and wonderful, all at once. But there were no beautiful posters of it to be found – they were all either cheesy or twee. Consider that problem solved 😉

I have been really busy the last few weeks – despite consciously wanting to slow things down this year – and I’m now putting on the brakes. I really believe in replenishment time: after creation comes rest. That’s what I’m focusing on now.

I’m going to go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence…
