Hold On to Your Kids

Hold On to Your Kids

Well this was surprising!

I confess that when I first started reading Hold On to Your Kids, I thought the authors were being a little dramatic. Really? Are our kids really this lost? Is peer orientation really that bad?

I am now convinced it is: but not in a fear-mongering way, more in a ‘this is how human children develop and become adults’ way. It was *fascinating*. An anthropological study of growing up in the modern age.

TLDR? Connection matters the most. Make an effort to spend special time with the people you love. Recognize the importance (and rarity) of unconditional love, and what it empowers in a person…

Have you read it? I’m a big Gabor Mate @gabormatemd fan, and this was a beautiful read… I’d love to hear what you thought if you’ve read it!
