
Friends, may I present today’s slice of joy in the form of this riot of spring flowers? 💐

I don’t use that word lightly 😉
I am doing alllll the things for my nervous system, and it still feels like I’m just hanging on. We’re in the classic Renovation Chaos Stage, living on pull-out couches surrounded by boxes and piles of random stuff, pulling wrinkled clothes out of bags each morning, sneezing through a pretty severe dust allergy with dust and noise and people 10 hours a day. It’s a lot.
Especially because I’ve spent a lot of time recognizing my nervous system cues and honouring the fact that I’m highly sensitive (as are both my kids). So we’re fritzing out, but there’s really nothing to be done but wait it out 😬
And, you know, lean into white noise and noise-cancelling headphones, early nights and healthy food, nature walks and kindness and Epsom Salts baths. I am pulling every nervous system trick out of the bag!
